Here's a pic of my last finish for '07. I will go ahead and say that this is the only finish for about 2 years..maybe 3. Since I had set my stitching aside and gotten back into crochet for several years. So, this is a Prairie Schooler chart that has been my "to go" project for about 2 years. I would take it with me to the doctor, traveling, etc and work on it just a bit each time. It sat around for probably about 9months when I pulled it out after Christmas and saw I only had 3 windows and a few vines to backstitch in. SHEESH!! What was up with me?!! I literally finished it on New Year's eve just a few hours before the New Year started. Enjoy and yes, they are clicky.

I really love this sampler. Can you please share where you got the pattern? Or is it a kit?

Hey, Mary. Are you the Mary that goes to mostly adventurous eating?
That's my daughter's blog.
Anyway, thanks for the comment. I was beginning to think I was the only one that reads this blog! This is a Prairie Schooler chart that I actually am willing to trade if ya got anything you wanna trade. It has 2 other charts in the leaflet. I've done 2 and am getting ready to start on the third one. I've already made my working copy so this could go to you at any time if we can work something out. I'm willing to trade for another xst leaflet, threads or aida fabric since that's all I can see to stitch on anymore (14ct). I think this leaflet is now retired or OOP. So, let me know. I'm easy.

Yes I'm the same Mary. I'm starting to worry that your daughter has stopped blogging. I hope she's doing ok.
I'd love to trade, but I'm going to have to think about what to trade you. Is there anything in particular you want? I had a really fun one I did for my mom that I think you might like, but I don't know where it is. Maybe I'll go a searching...

Mary, my daughter has really been through the mill since her BF broke up with her on Vday. What a jerk. He couldn't choose another day to do that!? Anyway, with that then that lady totalling her car- she's been in a real sad shape. Her first love! You know that's the hardest one to get over. She doesn't have a lot of interest in stuff right now but she's slowly pulling herself back together and someday she will start blogging again at her food blog. She's posted a few times at her other blog, http://fathippycrafts.wordpress.com/ so she's at least trying. It is kind of you to think of her.
Anyway, on to trading... what's the chart look like that you did for your Mom? If you can find a name for it, I could go look it up somewhere? I LOVE Prairie Schooler or anything that has that old look to it.I like house charts. I like the Jane Austin charts at http://thesamplergirl.homestead.com/Page2.html
I do like most samplers as long as they aren't "cutsey"; I like more of an historical look to them but I'm not crazy about a lot of fancy stitches.
I also would be happy with any Aida 14 you might have. I would think that a regular square you can buy packaged up at the store would be a good trade item. I think a standard square package size is something like 12x18? I really am easy. I'd even be happy with some fabric scrapes or buttons for using when finishing off the ornaments I'm making. Oh and I crochet too, so if you knit or.... any leftover skeins from projects are great. I crochet a lot of purses and scrap projects for the grandkids.
As I hope you can see, I would take just about anything and be able to use it well.
So, think about what you'd like to get rid of and let me know if you find the name of the chart you finished. Thanks.

Mary, please don't feel obligated to trade. I just didn't want to scare you off.

Mariana- You didn't scare me off, don't worry. I just had a fairly extensive knee surgery and I'm still wobbling around on crutches. I'm sure I have stuff here to trade, I just can't get to it right now. (carrying things is hard for me right now.) The good news is that I'm slowly weaning myself off the drugs and I have hopes of walking on my own in the next 3 weeks. And I'm still trying to think of exactly the right thing to trade with you!

Mary, I'm so sorry about your knee surgery. I can only imagine the pain. I took care of my Dad many years ago when he had his, so I watched that pain. I hope you get better and can move around soon.
Take your time deciding what you want to trade with me. When you're ready why don't you write me at my address: fredom49 at yahoo dot com. It will be easier for us to discuss this there. As you can see, it took me a bit to come back in here and check my message from you. My husband has been under the weather too trying to get this kidney stone to pass. He had the surgery for it but it took it's time going through! I think we might be out of the woods with this one but he has another one in his other kidney now that they aren't sure he will be able to pass! Pain in the butt! Any who, write me at yahoo when you're feeling better. AND you get better soon yourself.
